This policy explains how Professor Derek's Card Lab, operated by Lariviere Consulting LLC (“we,” “us”), collects and uses your information, including our text-message (SMS) program.
Information we collect
When you create an account to track your restoration and grading orders, we collect your name, email address, and (if you provide it) your phone number and mailing address. We also store details about the cards and orders you submit. We use this information solely to provide and communicate about our services.
SMS text messaging
Opt-in. You may opt in to SMS updates by checking the SMS consent box in your account on professorderekscardlab.com during signup or in your account settings. Only customers who check this box receive texts. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.
What we send.If you opt in, we send transactional notifications about the status of your own orders — for example, when a card moves to “Quality Check” or is “Ready for Customer Pickup.” We do not send marketing or promotional texts.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on the activity of your orders.
Rates. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
Opt-out and help. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; you will receive one confirmation and then no further texts. For help, reply HELP or contact us at derek@professorderekscardlab.com.
No mobile information (including phone numbers) will be shared with, sold to, or rented to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers collected for SMS are used only to deliver the order-status messages described above.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the app (for example, our hosting, database, and messaging providers), and only as needed to provide our services or comply with the law.
Data retention & your choices
We keep your account and order information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by contacting us at derek@professorderekscardlab.com.
